Every Safe Ear Curette™ from Bionix is made of smooth, flexible polypropylene which is designed to flex and bend when encountering an obstacle. This prevents patient discomfort as well as damage to the inner ear during cleaning. Also, these curettes are disposable so there are sterilization costs and no risk of cross-contamination. Simply use, then toss.
How to Use Safe Ear Curettes
- Check the ear with an Otoscope to see where the cerumen is.
- Gently grasp the ear to straighten the ear canal.
- Select the proper curette for the job.
- Use the curette to remove the cerumen.
- Re-check the ear to see if any cerumen is left.
- Repeat the process until all the cerumen is gone.
- Discard the curette (intended for single patient use, only).
